Vietnam Battle Maps

The Vietnam war was fought in southeast Asia, mainly in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos between the US backed South Vietnam and the Soviet back North Vietnam. Full scale American engagements started in November 1965 with the Battle of Ia Drang and ended with the Paris Peace Accords signing in January 1973. Over 58,000 US service members died in the war. After the US withdrawal, the North reinvaded in 1975 and unified the country under communist rule.
