Tinian Front Line Progression Battle Map

The Battle of Tinian was fought on the island of Tinian in the Marianas Islands from 24 July to 1 August. Tinian would become a very active airfield to support aerial bombings across the Pacific. Both atomic bombing missions originated on Tinian.
